The Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School welcomed incoming seventh graders and their families for the district’s annual seventh grade orientation. For safety reasons, the orientation was split into nine different groups over the course of three days.
Students had their identification photos taken, were introduced to administrators and learned about important protocols through a presentation that was led by Assistant Principals John Squadrito and Garrhett Schneider. Parents also participated in a question and answer session with Principal Bret Strauss.
At the end of the orientation, students were given their very own laptops as a way to continue to improve their learning experience.
