The Valley Stream Central High School District welcomed students back for the start of the 2022-2023 school year on September 1. New and returning students, arriving fresh from their summer breaks, streamed through the entrances and hallways of North, South, and Central high schools as well as Memorial Junior High School and met with their teachers and staff.
This year, students can take advantage of many exciting new programs and resources, including science and math learning centers and career education in automotive repair, nursing and medical assistant fields. These come in addition to the outstanding arts, sciences, humanities and athletic programs students and parents alike have come to expect.
“Once again we are embarking on whatw will be a successful year filled with opportunity for our high school community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Wayne Loper. “It is good to see our hallways filled with students once again, and I look forward to watching the next generation of students grow into thriving young adults.”
