Valley Stream North High School is proud to announce that student leader Olivia Howard has been nominated to participate in a high-level policy discussion with Secretary Hillary Clinton and Governor Kathy Hochul regarding New York State’s proposed cell phone ban in public schools.
Olivia’s nomination to this distinguished advisory council highlights her exceptional leadership, thoughtful perspective, and growing voice as a student advocate. As one of a small group of young leaders invited to contribute, Olivia will offer student insights into how the proposed policy could affect learning, mental health, and school culture.
