Valley Stream, NY (November 2021)—Valley Stream North High School’s Girls Varsity Volleyball Team had an exceptional 2021 season, highlighted by a dozen wins and incredible displays of athleticism. The team won the Nassau County A3 Conference Championship title with an overall record of 12-1. The team was led by Captains Madelyn Dusel, Alessandra Llubit, Haley Nelson and Karen Ye.
“I am incredibly proud of the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team,” said Dr. Robin Small, Interim Principal of Valley Stream North High School. “Their accomplishments this year are the result of hard work, dedication and a passion for volleyball. Thank you to Coach Mary Parisi for guiding the team to victory!”
The Nassau County Volleyball Association recognized the accomplishments of the team and the five young ladies who won postseason honors: Kayla Santo and Alessandra Llubit earned All-County Honors; Isabella Matura earned All-County Honorable Mention; Haley Nelson earned All-County Honorable Mention and was also named one of Nassau County’s Top 50 volleyball players; and Karen Ye earned an All-Conference title and is the team’s recipient of the Scholar Athlete award.
“I am so proud of this team’s dedication and commitment,” said Mary Parisi, Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach. “These young women are role models for their peers. I am honored to be their coach.” Coach Mary Parisi was named Conference A3 Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.

Sophomores: Isabella Feldman, Nattaly Lindo, and Alyanna Nadal
Juniors: Gabrielle DiCostanzo, Isabella Matura, Kayla Santo, and Gianna Sinner
Seniors: Madelyn Dusel, Alessandra Llubit, Haley Nelson and Karen Ye.
