A pair of particularly talented student-artists from the Valley Stream Central High School District were recently honored with a selection to the 2025 Congressional Art Show for New York’s Fourth Congressional District. Memorial Junior High School’s Sara Ibrahim and North High School’s Ayesha Danish had their original artworks on display as part of this national competition.
The show, held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on April 21, was part of the Congressional Art Competition, sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives. It recognizes exceptional high school artists in every congressional district across the country. This annual competition began in 1982 and has since showcased the work of over 650,000 student artists.
