Valley Stream South High School students Alyssa Gonzalez and Shalini Manbodh had AP Research projects published in science journals over the summer.
Alyssa’s project, “The impact of ChatGPT on academic integrity among students ages 12-19 in the Tri-State area,” relied on a mixed-method approach, which comprised a sample of interviews and 187 surveys. Her work was published in the The Young Researcher.
Shalini’s project, “The non-Hispanic Caribbean American experience with internalized racism: a phenomenological investigation,” used six phenomenological interviews in order to make her hypotheses. The findings were published in the Social Science Research Network.
