The district is proud to announce that two Junior Virtual Enterprise students were honored for their work in the nationwide Virtual Enterprises – Junior Ventures Dream Job Essay Competition.
Congratulations to North High School eighth grader Aleeza Dhillon for receiving an honorable mention, and Memorial Junior High School eighth grader Saahirah Mohsin for being selected as a runner-up.
With more than 1,000 submissions nationwide, participants were asked to identify a career path that they are passionate about and reflect on why they would be or will be qualified for the field. In addition, they were expected to demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
Aleeza’s essay described her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon, while Saahirah’s essay described her dream of becoming a diplomat. As active members of the district’s Virtual Enterprise program, Aleeza is an asset to North’s virtual business, “Relaxology,” and Saahirah is Co-CEO in Memorial’s company, “Clean Waves.”
The district applauds both students on this prestigious achievement.
