A group of eager and talented students have been working this school year to revive its Central High School Newspaper, “The Crier,” under the guidance of faculty adviser Ms. Diana Liguori.
In response to the newsworthy events that 2020 brought with it, students were inspired to seek a platform where they could share their voices on the issues facing the world today. These student writers worked to produce the first virtual edition of the paper in December 2020 on Microsoft Sway through the district’s Office 365 platform. They have been highlighting large-scale stories, such as the presidential election and the social justice movements, as well as feature pieces on Central’s Performing Arts program and student-produced creative writing.
Central High School is proud of these students for recognizing the importance of getting involved in current events and for exercising their voices through journalistic writing.
