The district is proud to announce that North High School students won a total of $5,000 for their efforts in the Northwell Health’s SPARK! Challenge. For the competition, students won first place in the Poster Division and second place in the Video Division.
The virtual program offered students the opportunity to participate in engaging, online educational sessions for 20 different clinical and non-clinical healthcare career fields. After learning about these professions, students chose one role to highlight and created a poster and/or a video to celebrate the career, as well as to display what they’ve learned. Projects were then reviewed by Northwell judges and the winners were awarded a prize during the virtual awards ceremony. The purpose of this virtual experience was to expose high schoolers to the various career opportunities in health care.
The district is very proud of this achievement and applauds the dedication that students devoted to the program.
