Valley Stream, NY (October 2021)—Spartan school spirit was shining bright on Thursday, October 7 as Valley Stream North High School held its annual outdoor pep rally! All Varsity and Junior Varsity teams were announced to the audience of students, family, friends and building faculty and staff who were cheering on with great excitement.
“It’s great to see the enthusiasm, energy, laughter and smiles of our students, their friends and families again here on our campus,” said Dr. Robin Small, Interim Principal of North High School. “It’s been a long time coming since we have all been able to get together and show our school spirit. This is a great beginning to what I believe will be a tremendous year for all our programs – athletics, academics, and clubs. It is clear that our students are proud to be Spartans.”
The pep rally was coordinated by Senior High School Council Advisors Mary Parisi and Al Daddino, with Paul Klimuszko, North High School’s Athletic Director. Mr. Daddino was the emcee for the event while Mr. Fabian Jara, the Interim Assistant Principal, served as DJ for the festivities. Everyone enjoyed the performances by the Spartan Steppers, Rangerettes, Cheer Team and a special rap performance by none other than Coach Parisi.
“I had a fantastic time as DJ at the pep rally. It was a great day for everyone,” said Mr. Jara. “I love the energy and the enthusiasm shown out on the field. It makes me proud to be a Spartan!”
