Valley Stream South High School ninth-grader Nicole Johnson recently made her Carnegie Hall debut, performing a solo violin piece in the historic Weill Recital Hall.
Nicole performed Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004 by Johann Sebastian Bach as part of the New York Musician’s Center 2026 Legends in The Making Concert. She performed before a packed house in one of the world’s most celebrated venues.
A violinist since the age of seven, Nicole is a member of the Chamber Orchestra at South. In addition to her musical accomplishments, she is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, has earned a place on the Principal’s List, serves as vice president of the Class of 2029, and is a Falcons junior varsity cheerleader.
