VALLEY STREAM, NY (OCTOBER 2021) —Valley Stream South High School welcomed hundreds of fans, community members and alumni on October 23rd, many dressed in red to show their South High School pride, and to enjoy the annual Homecoming parade, football game and festivities. The day-long celebration included a senior walk and parade around the High School’s track, and activities sponsored by many of South High School’s clubs including the Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Culture Society.
“It’s wonderful to have our students together again for an in-person Homecoming celebration,” said Ms. Maureen Henry, Principal of Valley Stream South High School. “Our students really showed off their Falcon pride. It was great to see our students, staff and community come together to show support for our High School.”
The memorable day was also highlighted by an exciting football game in which the Falcons scored a touchdown on their first play of the game, a halftime show that featured South High School’s Marching Band, Varsity Cheerleaders, the Kickline and Step teams, and the crowning of 2021-2022 Homecoming Queen and King, Valerie Lenis and Muhammad Shamsi.
