A Message from Memorial’s Principal – Fabian Jara

A Message from Memorial’s Principal – Fabian Jara

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Memorial Junior High School. I join this outstanding community with tremendous enthusiasm, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators who make Memorial such a special place.
I am especially proud to join a school that has once again been redesignated as a School to Watch—a distinction that reflects Memorial’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and meeting the needs of every student. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.
As we look ahead, I am excited to build upon this strong foundation. Together, we will continue to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student is challenged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. By embracing the values of the New York State Portrait of a Graduate, we will prepare our students with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
I firmly believe that strong schools are built through strong partnerships with families. Parents and guardians are invaluable members of our school community, and I encourage you to remain actively involved in your child’s education. I invite you to join me for Coffee Talks with the Principal. These informal gatherings provide an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, celebrate successes, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. Please check our monthly bulletin to confirm the date and time for each gathering.
Thank you for entrusting Memorial Junior High School with your child’s education. It is a privilege to work alongside you in supporting their growth and success. I look forward to getting to know each of you and to partnering with our families, faculty, and staff as we continue the tradition of excellence that defines Memorial. Together, we will inspire every student to reach their fullest potential.

Warm regards,
Fabian Jara
