Safety Plan Notice:
Pursuant to the NYS Education Commissioner’s Regulations, the Valley Stream Central High School District’s Safety Team has completed its annual review of the District-Wide Comprehensive School Safety Plan, which was first adopted by the Board of Education on June 12, 2001. A copy of the updated plan is available in the District Office Facilities Department.
Lead Testing Notice:
The Valley Stream Central High School District’s lead in drinking water 2026 test results are available here.

Asbestos Plan Notice:
The Valley Stream Central High School District, in accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986, states that it maintains a current record of all asbestos containing materials located within the district’s buildings. This information is included in the district’s Asbestos Management Plan as in updated in accordance with NYS and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations. The building plans are available in each school building and all are available in the Facilities Office.
Pesticide Notification:
The Valley Stream Central High School District practices integrated pest management, which uses measures to suppress pests with minimal impact on human health, the environment and non-target organisms. Pesticides will only be used as a last resort and if needed, the least toxic pest specific alternative will be selected. Anyone wishing 48 hour notification of pesticide application should request it with the District’s Facilities Office at (516) 872-5686.
Water Safety Information:
Education Law section 926, effective July 1, 2026, requires school districts to provide electronic or written information on water safety to parents/guardians at the beginning of the school year. Additionally, the school district must publish this information on its website.
