North High School Journalists Attend Prestigious Event

North Star club members and adviser Mrs. Christy Mansfield of the North High School magazine attended the 2021 Virtual LI High School Press Day.

This informative and exciting event is hosted by Adelphi University and has been running for 23 years. For this year’s virtual event, 15 club members attended and represented North Star through their work. The magazine submitted pieces in six categories to be considered for the Quill Awards. Junior Lucy Wu placed third in the competition for Best Layout against other school newspapers across Long Island. The highly anticipated sixth issue of the North Star is expected to release this month.
