South High School is proud to announce that its second set of students that completed requirements for the New York State Seal of Biliteracy in the 2019-20 school year. Tayeeba Ahmed and Nabiha Subzwari presented to a panel of teachers, and counselors via virtual platforms. Both cultural comparisons presentations were conducted in Spanish and followed by a series of questions.
According to the State Education Department, the New York State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English.
