Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School eighth-grade student Alysha Diaz Dilone has been selected as a finalist in the 5th Annual Middle & High School Student Artists: A Juried Show, hosted by the New Atelier Art School and Gallery in St. James.
Alysha, a student in Ms. Sabrina Jamshad’s art class, was chosen for her outstanding artistic merit and has her work on display at an exhibit alongside those from other young artists from across the region at the Atelier at Flowerfield. The exhibit runs from February 12th to March 12th.
As a finalist, Alysha is in the running to earn a $150 First Place prize, and all student-artist finalists were recognized at a reception at the gallery on March 7th.
