Student-musicians from Memorial Junior High School had an extremely strong showing at 2025’s Music in the Park festival at Dorney Park, bringing home a slate of top honors while creating unforgettable memories.
The young musicians dominated the competition with:
- 1st Place Orchestra
- 1st Place Chorus
- 1st Place Jazz Band
- Best Overall MS/JH Chorus
- Best Overall MS/JH Jazz Band
- Best Jazz Soloist
- Esprit de Corps Award
The trip blended musical excellence with well-earned fun, as students celebrated their achievements at the popular amusement park. The trip, and awards were made possible through music teachers Mrs. Kontoleon, Ms. Alaimo, Ms. Hughes, and Mr. Connors, who provided guidance to these young and talented musicians.
In addition to visiting the popular amusement park, the students participated in a variety of music competitions.
The students had a dominant showing, taking home seven awards.
The visit also provided the opportunity for some well-earned fun.
