Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School 9th grade psychology students learned about prominent psychologists with a fun, Funko Pop! themed lesson.
Pop! figurines are popular vinyl collectables known to depict pop culture figures in a signature, exaggerated style with oversized heads and small eyes. As part of the lesson, the students in teacher Kyle Bonilla’s 9th grade class read about various psychologists that have made major contributions to the field of study. The students then drew Pop! versions of the famous psychologists and wrote brief summaries about their innovations.
The finished lessons were placed on display on the third floor of the building for the student body to see.
