More than 40 Graduates Return to Give Students a Taste of Career Opportunities.
Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School hosted Career Day last month and invited more than 40 alumni, community members and professionals to give students opportunities to research the career paths open to them. Representatives from careers in fields such as art, law enforcement, real estate and more were present to introduce the students to their chosen professions.
Career Day addressed the ever-changing demands of the professional landscape that students will need to contend with after graduation. The fair was open to all of Memorial’s eighth graders throughout the day during their career and technical education classes.
