The Valley Stream Central High School District made sure that members of the Class of 2020 received a special and memorable culmination of their high school years. Central, North and South high schools each held in-person commencement ceremonies on July 28 and 29 to honor their graduates.In accordance with social distancing guidelines, the events were split up into four per building over the two days. Families were seated at least six feet apart from one another on the school fields and each ceremony featured speeches, diploma presentations and photo opportunities that celebrated the Class of 2020. The district wishes the graduates all the best in the future, and is proud of the perseverance that they demonstrated during a challenging senior year.
