Valley Stream Central High School students UK Ebong, Valentina Urena and Kailee Finn each earned second place awards in their respective categories of the Photographic Federation of Long Island Youth Photography Contest. Their photography is advancing to the Photographic Society of America’s National Youth Showcase competition for judging.
Kailee was awarded in the Digital Monochromatic category for "Odd Eyed Girl," Valentina’s distinction was in Digital Scapes for “5:30pm on 7th Avenue” and UK was recognized for Digital Photojournalism entry, “Survival.”
PFLI, a member of the PSA, is a voluntary non-profit organization of camera clubs from Nassau and Suffolk counties and the five boroughs of New York City. It is dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of photography.
