Valley Stream, NEW YORK (February, 2022)—Members of Valley Stream Central High School District’s Performing Arts Program put on their winter drama production She Kills Monsters on February 10, 11 and 12 at Central High School’s Keller Auditorium.
She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, who goes on a sword-and-sorcery-filled quest of self-discovery after losing her parents and younger sister, Tilly, in a tragic car crash. When Agnes finds a Dungeons and Dragons module Tilly wrote, Agnes decides to take up her quest, and learns more about herself—and her younger sister—than she ever expected.
Students from North, South, Central and Memorial Junior high schools took part in the play both on stage and behind the scenes as part of the district-wide production. “It’s one of the perks of being in the program,” said Performing Arts Program Director Elizabeth Kott.
