Memorial Junior High School band students honored the impact of Black Artists in the American musical landscape, as a way to celebrate Black History Month.
With this, they created an interactive hallway presentation answering the question “Who inspires you?” Students researched musicians, created posters showcasing their contributions and shared musical examples utilizing QR codes.
The school will be continuing to honor Black History Month as a whole with a variety of interactive and education activities.
