Summer School Information
Summer School is a service that is provided upon the annual approval of
the Valley Stream Central High School District Board of Education. If
offered, Summer School generally begins in early July and ends in
mid-August. Summer School is offered for VSCHSD students with
recommendation of their guidance counselor. For private school students
who are VSCHSD residents, Summer School is offered for students who
have failed classes and who have a letter of recommendation from their
school. Specific instructions and registration requirements are
detailed in the Summer School brochure attached below.

Registration can only be paid via MySchoolBucks or Money Order.

As of June 13, 2019, there is no longer a religious exemption to the
requirement that children be vaccinated against measles or other
diseases to attend any Summer School program.
Any student who
will be attending a summer school program in another district (even if
they are just taking a Regent Exam) MUST have been vaccinated and the
home district MUST sign-off on the attached form and give to the student
to present at the time of registration.
No out-of-district or non-public school student will be allowed to register for summer school without this approval.
