Central HS Students Excel at FBLA Competition

Nine students from Valley Stream Central High School competed in the Future Business Leaders of America, State Leadership Conference, held in Rochester from April 5-7. They performed with poise, and professionalism, and solidified the school's reputation for excellence in FBLA by earning several awards.  

First place awards were earned by Stephanie Burchell and Tyrese Haspil in the Social Media Campaign category, Grey Lancaster in Digital Video Production and Sophia Grunin and Gabriella Reyes in Graphic Design.

Nader Ahmed and Jeenia Zaki placed second in Business Ethics, and Brian Fanor received a fourth-place award in Public Speaking 2.

Safiyyah Savage presented outstanding work in the Public Speaking 1 category.
     
The students now have the opportunity to compete at Nationals this summer in Anaheim, California.
